Condemn Israeli state murders in Gaza
Once again, under the pretext of responding to Hamas’ attacks, the oppressive Israeli military forces have attacked the cities of Bethlehem, Jabaliya, Rafah, and particularly Beit Hanoun, both from air and ground, killing the defenceless people of Palestine. In recent attacks at least 42 people have lost their lives. Children and women are among the victims of this attack.
Hamas is a reactionary and Islamic terrorist organisation in Palestine which has nothing to do with the just struggle of the Palestinian people against the occupying Israeli state; Hamas in actual fact adds to the misery of the people of Palestine. On the other side there stands unrestrained Israeli state terrorism which has in its records decades of killing of the Palestinians and violating their rights; policies based on terrorism, intimidation and collective punishment. The far-right religious groups in Israel and Palestine are both against the unity and co-existence of the Israeli and Palestinian people, are against the unity of the workers in both countries, against the peace and the peace process and the establishment of two equal states of Palestine and Israel. Israeli state terrorism and Islamic terrorism both provide pretexts and excuses for terrorism and killings.
The Worker-Communist Party of Iran strongly condemns the killing of the innocent people in Palestine by the criminal Israeli military forces. The Worker-Communist Party will strive to mobilise progressive forces and international opinion to put pressure on the USA and Israeli government to recognise an independent and equal Palestinian state. The Worker-Communist Party also sees itself against the other pole of this barbarity i.e. the reactionary, terrorist Islamic groups in the region which form a significant barrier to peace and a life without war, killing and misery. Bringing about an end to the killing of the people in the region, more than ever, relies on the active involvement of freedom-loving people of the world against the both poles of terror and reaction.
Today, the revival of the peace negotiations requires a world-wide fight for the recognition of the right of the Palestinian people as well as forcing back the right-wing, reactionary and religious forces on both sides of the conflict. Today, more than ever before, defending the immediate and just solution to the Palestinian question is the task of secular, progressive, socialist and communist forces. The Worker-Communist Party of Iran supports any effort in this regards and calls on progressive forces of the world to pay political and practical attention to this vital task in the Middle East.
